<div class="bbWrapper">Who has snow?<br /> <br /> None here in Ayrshire, or at least our part of it. It&#039;s been bitterly cold though, hardly getting above 0 for us this last few days. We are low down in a valley and the sun barely breaks the sky line at this time of year so we get little warmth from it. Handily, when it does creep above the skyline, it shines through our bay window in the living room, which warms the room nicely for a few hours through the day.<br /> <br /> Even during the worst snowfall, we get hardly any snow here, being so low down, most I&#039;ve seen in our street is about 6 inch drifting. Venture just out of the valley though, to the higher ground and there can be a foot or so. I&#039;m suprised we&#039;ve not even had a flake during this cold blast.<br /> <br /> I may venture out later, just for some air, with the camera of course and also, to see if there is any snow higher up. It&#039;s a beautiful day actually.<br /> <br /> -6 here over night.</div>

Yep got about 5cm of the stuff.</div>

<div class="bbWrapper">Woke up to a thin layer of snow down here on the south coast this morning, very cold, so not melting yet.</div>

<div class="bbWrapper">A good covering of snow in the Highlands which has been sitting for a few days now although seems a lot worse around Aberdeen.</div>

<div class="bbWrapper">Had several inches of it in the Staffordshire hills. Didn&#039;t see a gritter until after morning rush hours so pointlessly late. Some berk was trying to do a three point turn in front of the gritter and made them wait about 10 minutes while they were farting about as well. Absolute imbecile. Was -6 first thing. Reached a heady -3.<br /> <br /> Main roads were closed due to accidents. A day to stay at home and not bother going anywhere. A walk to the wheelie bin felt like an arctic expedition. A winter wonderland to look at but not interact with!</div>

<div class="bbWrapper">Had a tiny extra sprinkling overnight - just enough to make the road white. Nearly all gone now apart from a couple of deeply shaded areas.</div>

<div class="bbWrapper">Nothing in Glasgow. A few snowflakes at about 8.30am on the school run, but that was it. We never really get much snow though.</div>

<div class="bbWrapper">Still none here, bitter cold though, -8°C overnight, -2°C for most of the day today and now plummeting, currently -6°C at 5-20pm.</div>

Had the chainsaws and splitter out today to finish off some previous stock.</div>

<div class="bbWrapper">A very, very light covering when opened the curtains this morning here in Carlisle so disappointed as looking forward to getting some of those Robin shots. Russ.</div>

<div class="bbWrapper">Nothing in SW Cornwall. ..Lizard. 5C. Might get away with it but we&#039;re travelling home on Friday and warm air..relatively, is moving up from the Continent and will collide with the cold air..result..snow. The forecasters are telling us to keep up to date. If it looks tricky we&#039;ll leave Thursday PM.</div>

<div class="bbWrapper">Between Redcar and Middlesbrough we&#039;ve had two days of light snow. Today was the most spectacular with hard snow and big flakes too but it didn&#039;t last. I think it&#039;s just 1.5 to 2&quot; deep.</div>

<div class="bbWrapper">John, Exeter forecast for Thursday is (currently) heavy rain, improving a bit for Friday. Temperatures above freezing. That&#039;s just for Exeter though, the rest of the M5 is a whole different ball game!</div>

And they expected us to drink it ...and we did after clearing the iced up tops, Aye..thems was the days......Lol.</div>

<div class="bbWrapper">Today, we have a thaw of the lying frost and ice, it&#039;s raining down here in the valley but I wouldn&#039;t mind betting, that just a mile or 2 up the road, it&#039;s probably snowing. I&#039;ve not ventured out that way yet to take a look. Currently 1.5°C.<br /> <br /> It&#039;s to freeze again later, which means it will be like a skating rink out there if it doesn&#039;t dry up underfoot first (or snow on top). Our street doesn&#039;t get gritted.</div>

<div class="bbWrapper">Had a bit here near Reading, probably been more around High Wycombe as it&#039;s higher there. It&#039;s a day when I&#039;m pleased that I&#039;m retired.</div>

<div class="bbWrapper">I&#039;ve had enough of the snow now. We are now into day 6 of heavy snowfalls in the north east of Scotland. We&#039;ve got about 40cm of snow in the back garden where it&#039;s not been touched, no signs of a gritter or plough in our street, though locals have been helping keep the street as clear as possible. We are running out of places to shovel the snow now!</div>

After watching the forecast on 6.00pm News, we&#039;ve decided to leave on Thursday morning..9.30 which should get us home at 1.45-2.15. The snow is forecast from Bristol north, late afternoon. We&#039;ll drive through rain from the start, though. It&#039;s a better option than taking a chance on Friday morning.</div>

<div class="bbWrapper">We decided to leave SW Cornwall tomorrow morning..about 900am instead of Friday, to beat the named storm ,Goretti but this morning&#039;s BBC forecast ...0750...showed that it will reach SW Cornwall..Lizard, by 6.00am with wind gust of up to 90mph...so we came home today. Had we left it until tomorrow morning, we&#039;d have been driving in it all the way home with high winds, heavy rain and even snow from about Bristol. Unfortunate but safety-first and all that. The A30/M5 were fairly quiet. I wonder how many other people have cut short their holiday ? It&#039;s very possible that the next guests going into the cottage will not arrive on Friday. The forecasters, the AA and the RAC , have warned against travel tomorrow unless essential..Friday morning, too. It&#039;s sensible to heed the advice.</div>
