Well for the first time in 6 1/2 years, I've been sent home from work. The boss couldn't make it in, and half our unit couldn't as the snow came down big style last night.

How is it where you all are?

Not so bad here in Wimborne, but I was very surprised to see it this morning.

Last night when I went out at 8pm I was surprised to find my car iced up, we seemed to have had a bit of freezing rain.

By the time I came home around 9pm it had warmed up quite a bit so I wasn't expecting snow.

I'll post up a shot when I get chance, it's pretty deep here. Not exactly life-stopping though. But a lot of our guys (including our boss) have to travel in from Weymouth, Dorchester, Poole, and even as far as St. Leonards.

I think it was a lot worse towards weymouth, we seem to be more on the edge of it here so the Poole guy would be ok. St Leonards Hants or Sussex?

Hants.

Of course with me home from work it means you're all stuck with me all day!

Heavy frost at 7 this morning, now there's about an inch of snow and still coming down. (Northern Scotland)

I just rolled out of bed and it's about an inch thick in Glasgow and still falling although it's only little tiny flakes.

There was a slight covering of snow when I took the dog out at 7:00am, by the time I left for work at 7:30am it was about 2 inches thick (the snowflakes were huge) - wasn't much snow in the City Centre (Glasgow) this morning and now the sun is shining and snow all gone :|

There was a good frost here this morning (Edinburgh), and a couple of hours of snow roundabout midday, but it's nice and sunny now :)

Thick snow here - had trouble getting off the farm to get the kids to school!

Predicted over night here but didn't seem to make it up this high
bloody cold though

It's completely cleared here too, it's now a lovely sunny day.

YOU GOT SNOW  NO FAIR!!

Been nippy out but not cold enough for snow

I thought it was bad enough when the buses cant run, or the trains have the wrong type of leaves on the track!!

Lets hope the next war isn't started on a snowy day!!

Not much snow, but southeastern trains? EPIC FAIL. A tip for SE rail, if your first train, the 6.52, doesn't show until 8.56, USE MORE THAN 4 CARRIAGES. Morons.

Nothing in Cornwall but I'm doing my snow dance so could be any time now :notworthy::runaway::notworthy::banana::woot:  :runaway::notworthy::runaway::notworthy:

Jeez, just as well those blasted Hun didn't invade when it was snowing.

;)

I made it into work Clin! But about 6 or 7 of our guys live well over 20 or so miles away, some even further, and most of the roads were closed. I got in and was faced with an empty office, until eventually my sergeant major tuned up and told me to go home...and I'm not one to disobey orders
