Daily snorton's 365 project - Calling It A Day I'm Afraid :(

 Love the way his tie is flapping around - nutty proffessor - most excellent spot :D

Very good Simon. I have never tried street photography, always thought it was a bit daunting.

Oh I like that - really caught the windy day.

Loving it!! I too am too scared of street photography!

Really amused - apart from how the wind is catching him, he looks like he's going to come a cropper on that can in front of him - really nice catch :)

He's a street performer isn't he? I've seen one do this before, the coat and tie are wired to look like the wind is catching them. Good capture though, if it wasn't for the collecting tin, it would look like a windy day.

Simon to say that you have never done street shots before , you have captured this guy so naturally in windy Manchester

Great shot! At first I thought it was just an eccentric guy, but I now realise he's a street performer!

Excellent street work Simon.... I do enjoy street photography, tried doing some the other day but with a 5yrold nightmare its not a good idea lol....

Love the entertainer... i've seen him before too, it's a good concept. i could watch street performers all day!

Love it  never really done much street :( but I don't normally get that much chance to anyway

Ok, yeah I've been busted :D:D, the guy is a street performer and yes his tie and coat are wired to give the gust of wind effect. Walking down Market St., in Manchester and he was there, absolutely still and attracted quite a crowd too.

I just loved the illusion the shot gave of the gust of wind and that it looks as though he's about to walk into the can on the floor in front of him.

Apologies for the deception ladies & gents :naughty::naughty::naughty:

I don't care whether he was an entertainer or not, you got a spot on shot of him and it just works!

Next time, clone out that collection can! ;):D

(When I first saw it, I didn't instantly go "ah-ha, that's some street entertainer" so you certainly did decieve some of us, but I did go "Why the hell has he left that in?" !! :D:lol::lol:)

Now this isn't my shot for today, as I've just got in from work and am about to work on today's shot.....but wanted to share this shot. Again from yesterday's walkabout in Manchester, another street performer (one who didn't like having his picture taken), and there is no illusion at all in relation to his double jointed legs...

If you're a little bit squeamish then look away now :)

Thanks for that

Day 48 and it's been a bloomin' nice sunny day. Also a financially rewarding day too as the D3000 has gone to a new owner. So after lining my pockets this morning, I sat in the garden patiently waiting for the birds to arrive as their feeder has been refilled...

Thank you hun.

That little bird is wonderful  It's never to early to get on the egg's   I love the busker but WTF

Lol, don't think that busker will be giving Mo Farrah a race anytime soon

Right then....Day 49....errrr....well here goes.

Due to having very little time today, I was alerted to the fact that the International Space Station was due to pass over tonight, and as it is an area of photography I'd like to try, I thought well no time like the present.

I think the basic idea and settings are there, just that next time it passes over I need to venture out of the back garden, out into the countryside and add a bit of foreground interest into the shot.

So although it's not the most interesting of shots, I'm putting this up as more work in progress...but hey this is what the 365 is for, to experiment and show improvement...

...the ISS passing over the back garden tonight...
