Daily snorton's 365 project - Calling It A Day I'm Afraid :(

Day 42 made me smile because I came back from my (expensive) holiday a couple of years ago and, right there with all the post was a nasty looking brown envelope....took me 10 minutes to open it and found a nice little cheque inside!

I like today's, he has quite a wistful little expression! :)

Oh, and I am a little jealous of your new purchase!:lol: Enjoy it!

This one was a result of mother reminding me that I can claim back a refund from cleaning of my work uniform from the past 4 years, and another bonus is that my tax code has changed to allow for future cleaning costs so paying a little less tax from April :thumbs:.

Hehehe i'm uber excited about getting me hands on the D7000 tomorrow. Doing a couple of weddings soon so it was needed :D

Nice tax man shot Simon, good to see someone getting money back from them. And good to see you putting the koney to such good use!

Day 44 and more snow has arrived today.

Yep, first play with the new beast :).

Going from D3000 to D7000 I can't put into words the difference. Looking forward to my day off work tomorrow to have a proper play around with it :D

Hahahaha awwwww bless ya!

Now you've got to hope for quiet moments or you'll be telling people to b****r off so you can read ;)

Looks like you have the hang of it already Simon. Hope you really enjoy it.

Do you have a kindle or kindle app on your computer? I bought the Darrel Young D7000 guide kindle edition and it is very good, much easier to understand than the nikon guide.

Thanks matey. Hehehe I think I'll be constantly learning with this camera, it seems there's a myriad of options available for shooting, this will be a very long relationship ;)

I've got an ipad, so going to have a look in the book store to see what's there.

Let me know if it actually works. Might not.

Tried that download in the email matey and sadly it didn't work :(, but thank you for sending it, it was worth a go. So now I've got kindle for ipad I'm going to find that book :).

Will it work if you download the file I emailed and click it to open it. If I do that it automatically opens the kindle app. Amazon probably have something to stop this working though.

Yeah I think they have matey. I did click on it and it gave me the option to open in kindle, but it wouldn't let me. I'll have another go later, out in town with my new toy at the moment :D

I don't have an iPad - do they get the same apps as the iPhone? I've an app on my iPhone for Nikon manuals - you can download them and have them handy. I actually used one at the weekend to troubleshoot something I'd changed and not realised how I'd done it!

Enjoy your new camera!

looking great! Love the cheque :D

Thanks :)

Always nice to get a little of money back :D and I love the little dog  not totally sure about the snow :(

Cheers for that matey. Tbh I wasn't that sure about the snow shot either, lol but it was one of the first shots I took with my new toy :D

Starving now!

:)

Nice one Simon! Snow here too :(

..and it didn't last long either.

Nice work Simon , let me know how you get on bud , this is the move I'm hoping to make in April !!

I take it you mean getting new kit fella?

Yeah they do ipad versions of most apps :)

Day 45...a day off work...and a first proper outing with the D7000.

What better way to break it in with my first dabble with street photography :cuckoo::cuckoo::cuckoo::cuckoo:.

So ventured down to Manchester and my word I didn't realise how daunting it was doing street photography, and after starting off with a very strong black coffee off I went.

Anyway here's on my fave's I shot today....

 Love the way his tie is flapping around - nutty proffessor - most excellent spot :D

Very good Simon. I have never tried street photography, always thought it was a bit daunting.

Really amused - apart from how the wind is catching him, he looks like he's going to come a cropper on that can in front of him - really nice catch :)

He's a street performer isn't he? I've seen one do this before, the coat and tie are wired to look like the wind is catching them. Good capture though, if it wasn't for the collecting tin, it would look like a windy day.

Excellent street work Simon.... I do enjoy street photography, tried doing some the other day but with a 5yrold nightmare its not a good idea lol....

Love the entertainer... i've seen him before too, it's a good concept. i could watch street performers all day!

Great shot! At first I thought it was just an eccentric guy, but I now realise he's a street performer!
