After a Christmas conversation with family/ Friends and others in the pub regarding the status they are or desire to be in the eye of your friends, workmates and other.

Take a vote.....or let us know your thoughts.....

I was amazed by how many of the group would prefer Slob......

By the way I prefer Snob ....... ;)

I do shop in Waitrose on occasion. I must be a snob:). But then again, I go there in my cargo pants and an old fleece. Ergo, I am a slob:(
 
I would normally say neither as well but in the conversation there was only the 2 choices no grey area.......
 
The choices offered are fundamentally flawed because there IS a huge grey area in the middle.

Well choose then, nobody has voted yet. I'm certainly not gonna vote for something I'm definitely not grumpy or not . The end!!
 
In the words of Weed's friends, "Nod's a slobby snob!" I enjoy the finer things in life but refuse to conform to some of the standards some believe I should!

I would rather be considered a snob, than a slob plain and simple, there are at least some vaguely decent attributes to being a snob where as I can see no good in being a slob
 
It do not see any reason to suppose that the one is the opposite of the other.

we have all known Snobs who are slobs
And also
Slobs who are snobs.
 
I'm just wondering why anyone would want to be associated with either.
 
This is really about how others perceive you, which isn't something I give much thought to.

A snob ... is an attitude of mind that says I am better than the Hoi polloi what ever their own behaviour might suggest.
A Slob ... is any one whose behaviour is slovenly.

The two are not mutually exclusive.

It is impossible to be neither when only two options are provided.....it a bit like binary you are either a 1 or a 0... ;)

Pish!! The parameters of the choice available are way too narrow. I've been pigeon holed most of my life and I refuse to be shoe horned into some flakey category I clearly don't fit into, not even for light hearted so called fun.:rolleyes:

I am who I am but would rather be considered a snob by others than a slob.

Whatever someone thinks of me is their problem, not mine! < Is that a sufficiently snobby thing to say? :D
