I have seen quite a few comments of late.

where people are saying looks like a snapshot to me / nice snapshot.

well is there a very fine line between a snapshot and a shot

at what point does a nice snapshot become a nice shot...

personally i could say i take alot of snapshots.. but if i have waited or set the shot is it still a snapshot

yours confused

MD - very good question. There is a pretty big divide if you ask me :)

In my non pro opinion:

SNAPSHOT
Not a huge amount of thought or preperation, spur of the moment, grab and shoot.

SHOT
Planned, thought out, technically correct.

Also, I think the finished article can push SHOT into SNAPSHOT territory, and vice versa :)

I think 90% of my shots are snapshots, and 99% of my PLANNED SHOTS end up as snapshots as they do not represent what I tried to capture, due to lack of skill. I feel I am improving, so I hope the ratio will improve too.

Gary.
