I've just been emailed with some canvas promotions by a company called 'Snapmad', and they're telling me they can give me a canvas that's 24"x16" for £20.99 delivered.

Has anyone ever got a canvas done before? I'd quite like one for my room but I don't want to waste £21 if it's literally going to be terrible quality...

The only thing that lets it down is the folded corners as opposed to nicely cut and stuck ones....

And not sure about longevity of the canvas....Buit at that price you can't really complain! ;)

Has anyone added borders. I had one done by them but it's got a pretty large wrap taken from the image. Other than that it seems OK.

For value for money you really can't complain. I have a 24" x 16" snapmad canvas hung on my landing wall and for just a piece of wall art it is more than adequate. I wouldn't supply these to paying clients but I have certainly recommended them to friends who just want to print a canvas for the wall.

That's all I'm after really. I use DS Colour Labs for paying customers, as their service and print quality is really good, but I just want a cheap and cheerful one for my room at uni - it's looking a little sad at the moment!

Around 8 months ago I got two A2 sized canvases from Snapmad, and for comparison a 12" square canvas from a company which was 4 times the price per square inch.
So far, thecactual canvas themselves is holding up pretty good, looking from the front there would be little to choose between them. The more expensive canvas is slightly more vibrant, but I believe that this is due to the image, which is bright reds, greens and yellows, as opposed to greys and blues from Snapmad.
From the back, the more expensive canvas had backing tape. A 50m roll of this costs ~£5 from ebay, and took maybe 30 minutes to apply to the two snapmad canvases. If you want backing tape that is. Not many people rip the canvases off the wall to look at the back.

They're okay. I had one done for a client who wanted a cheaper canvas and was willing to be a guinea pig.

They cannot hold a candle to Oxford Images quality though.

That is why they are £30 cheaper. Snapmad, for £20, are ok. Sure they ain`t the best, but I can`t find anywhere cheaper.

I can highly recommend clearlycanvas.com. I've used them quite alot for stuff at home and for clients images and there quality is superb. Price is fairly competitive and delivery is free.

Not heard of Oxford Imaging before but they also look like a cracking company so might give them a go at some point.

Cheers
