Smooth mouse mats. Do they exist?

Yes
I've got a good mouse but it keeps sticking and jumping when I move it over my mouse mat. It probably doesn't help that the mat is a Nikon promo mat. (Nikon- ugh!)
I've tried other mats but they all seem to have a bit too much friction for fine control of my cursor.
Does such a thing as a smooth mat exist? Do gamers use ultra smooth mats and if so which one?
All suggestions considered.

i use something like this

using any mouse on a glossy surface i find slides too easy. personally i prefer a little resistance.
Yes I agree, but mine is not resistance but stickiness. The Overclockers thing looks good.

A sheet of plain paper or card works well as a temporary surface, might help until you get a more suitable solution?

fUnc mousemats are pretty good. We have an old 1030 Surface and an Alienware branded one here that I bet is a 1030. Used them both for years. Double sided with different levels of friction.

The sheet of paper has made an amazing difference.
I thought the Nikon mat must be the problem!

Thanks. I've got a Razer mouse so maybe they will be nice and compatible.

I use Glaser Mice excluseively now - I was looking for a cheap mouse once, a Glaser was the cheapest mouse on all of ebay so I bought one, best mouse ever! Works on almost any surface.

Anything from razer is good, but the overclockers mousemat posted above is supposed to be good.
