Ok, I'm sure this'll get shafted over to the off topic section, but it is kind of photo related.

I want to try some smoke art as others have, but cant for the life of me find any incense/joss sticks. Sounds daft, but where the heck do you buy them from. When I was younger, there were loads of hippyish shops in Bristol, but I'm in the north east now and can't find any anywhere!

I thought one of the supermarkets might have them in the 'smelly things for your home' section, but no joy so far. Dixons, HMV, Warehouse, Next, etc all obviously no good. At this rate, i'll have to set fire to the cat and hope that works!

Try Tesco's, same row as the lamps - I just got a pack of jos-sticks + a burning tray. Hurry though, they were marked as discontinued.

Cheers grockle, will give that a go. I was looking in the 'airfreshener' aisle, not the 'homes' one.

Try an Asian food store or Chinese supermarket.

Failing that, a holiday to India ;)

Try the local markets, they usually have at least one stall selling that type of stuff.

It was once me and I still keep finding the damn things so I might give this smoke art a try myself :)

Thanks guys. I've found a place... but it was closed when I went tonite. Will hopefully pick some up tomorrow.

Often 'alternative' shops will sell them (the ones that sell clothes, bags, posters, piercings, etc). The Pier may sell them or maybe try a candle shop.

If you don't mind the smell good old fashioned white parcel string does the job (not the waxy flat type)
