Smilies stopped working

I can't seem to get my smilies working. Twas going ok but now when I click them to add to posts nothing happens. Anyone know why?

Try typing in eg ' :b o n k: ' no spaces

Well I'm and a bit but about it I'm not :nuts: about using smilies anyway. However, they do seem to work for me . I have no idea why :shrug: Perhaps if you :rules: it may give you some but I doubt it very much
