Hi all I'm after a couple of soft boxes for my elinchroms and came across Smick.co.uk as any one on here used this company before are heard off any one who as.I was thinking of buying a rectangular soft box 80x120cm £47 or a 120cm octagonal £55.

I bought something from them years ago - a tripod I think, which is still doing me proud!
"Smick Trading" was what they marketed themselves as. I don't recall any problems - believe I found them on Ebay after a recommendation on here (might've been yourself Marcel?)
 
How can anybody verify if they are based in the UK? Reason is that here in Ireland the Government is scraping the barrel when it comes to revenue. So if good are coming from China or HK we will be slapped with customs duties.
So please can anyone verify the company is based in the UK.

They also appear to be UK vat registered and I've never seen that with HK based companies.
 
I think they are based in Kent, mind you the 80x120 soft box i bought of them fell apart after one use by about 3-4 uses it was of no use
 
I've spoken to then and bought from them - based in North Kent.
