Anyone seen the documentary Smash His Camera on Netflix? It's about Ron Galella and his 'pap' work...

He managed to use his job of hounding the famous and made himself a little bit 'well known' in the process!

Amazingly, when you see his shooting style, (or lack of it), you scratch your head at how he's managed his level of success!

Not something i would do but i not going to knock paps, their seem to be a market for it from the public who buy the magazine in which most of these photos appear, and if the photos didn't sell no one would be doing it.
I think Mick Jagger of the Rolling Stones came up with the best idea,"He said whenever the paps are about i let them take as many photos as they like, and after a while their were so many photos of me about they started to get fed up with taking photos of me"

Plus a lot of celeb have this sort of love hate relationship with paps, love them when they need their photos about, hate them when they don't,in the end its a game both side play :)

Wondering what you mean by his style or lack of it -- do you mean the brash way he sneaks up and jumps out on people are are you referring to more technical stuff?

I have watched it.I am all for paps but by the end of the documentary I do think this guy went to far with Jacky Kennedy. :bat:
