Does anyone use one? The only camera I have now is on my iPhone ans I struggle to hold that for taking photos so I'm thinking of getting a gimbal. I don't want anything to bulky (or expensive) as I'll be in my chair and it will just be for holiday snaps mainly. Would love to hear peoples experiences/recommendations.

A few examples of the sort of thing I've been looking at:

TIA

Are you looking for a device that has active stabilisation or simply something to physically hold the phone? The reason I ask is that those listings are a little misleading as they're not gimbals or stabilisers from what I can see since they have no motors, they're just devices that resemble them. I've used a DJI Osmo Mobile 3 which is a proper gimbal (looks like about £55 for a second hand one on Cex) which unlike older models, folds down so it's quite compact in comparison and it does a great job in stabilising video and easy to use.

If you're not looking for active stabilisation are there an grip designs which would suit your use better? Not this specific product but this sort of idea as I find it easier to control:

Just something to physically hold the phone. I specifically need the type of grip in the ones I linked.

I'd start on the Amazon ones then! See if any of them suit you and send 'em back if they don't!

I just bought an AmazonBasics mini tripod (to use as a flash stand) and it came with a Smartphone clip with a ¼-20 standard tripod mount - was half the price with versus without... Happy to fire that on to OP and he can use any tripod he has around the house....

Thanks for the kind offer but I'm not looking to use a tripod.
