Does anyone use SmallHD or similar monitors for checking composition and focussing while out in the field?
I have been struggling a bit with landscapes especially when I want to use a low viewpoint, ending up lying down in gorse and bracken, sometimes on wet ground, so these monitors look like a good idea.
All suggestions appreciated.
Thanks.

Ive got the smallhd focus. Amazing for video with all its features but I cant help but feel like it would be wasted for stills.

Id opt for one of the cheaper freeworld ones. They have quite a similar one for less than half the price

Get the Feelworld F6. For the money theyre fantastic

Oops, the deal is on the F570 - is that model suitable?
Thanks again.

Thanks for the info, I haven’t taken the plunge yet but will do soon.

David, did you go ahead and buy a field monitor at all? Pretty much in the same boat as yourself and looking different options plus the fact that I'm getting to old to be grovelling around on the floor trying to check the camera's screen with low view points.

I haven't gone any further yet Mike, I have been changing camera body and lenses so I put it on hold.

Will shortly start again, but the best option without spending too much seems to be the Feelworld F6 mentioned by Anthony.

Thanks David.

I was also thinking of upgrading camera bodies to help with the problem but Nikon's D850 screen only angles in one direction unlike the Fuji models where the screen works on both planes. I thought a field monitor may prove helpful. Good luck with your search.
