Need recommendations on a small light weight monopod for traveling, budget £100.

I was looking at the manfrotto 294 carbon fiber but after using the aluminium version version I am not convinced with the leg locking mechanism, with 3kg of camera/lens and a little pressure from holding the camera steady the bottom leg kept going down.

ideally 42-43cm min height (same as the bag it will be on)

I like the Gitzo GM3860C but a little over what i want to spend.

3 Legged Thing have a new range of monopods due to be launched soon, they dropped a few "subtle" hints on their facebook page about them this week. They mentioned that one of them would be 45cm long so it may be worth you waiting.

what happened to the 3 Legged Thing Bob X1LT? apparently first available on amazon back in April 2011
 
Just spoken to 3 legged thing customer service, monopods due in the country mid may, apparently the 5 section carbon finer monopod is around £120.
