I've got a series of corporate headshots to do in a very confined space. I'm considering using the smallest Lastolite Hilite (4'6" by 3'6") as the background as I can get the subjects closer to the background that way. I usually do these shoots entirely with Speedlights, but am not sure whether one or two would have enough punch to light a Hilite?

Anyone ever tried this?

This will be better placed in the lighting section I should think.

I have the 6x7 hilite and that's all I've used, I would suspect with pp you should be ok with 1, but can't say for sure. I'm sure someone here can help :)

Moved for you :)

In a word - yes! I have done something similar but with a 6' x 7' hilite and two Canon Speedlites (EX550). One in the box itself and the second firing into a brolly or through a brolly which was set behind the camera position and diagonally opposite the Speedlite in the hilite. No post processing necessary provided you set things up properly by metering and adjusting output but watch your Speedlite power doesn't let you down - I used a couple of TURBO batteries rather than rely on AAs - triggered wirelessly.

Yes. I've done this.

It's easier with 2 speedlights in the hilite but you can get away with one if you're careful and accept you may have to do some quick easy retouch to the picture edges.

Not used them this way for volume work (maybe 20 - 30 shots at a time) but I've been fine with internal AAs and RF602s.
