Small laser measurer

Any sports shop will sell you a pocket laser range finder. People use them for golf and shooting etc.

It would be lot of fuss to use one with a camera though unless you're shooting older kit that involves 'guesstimations' for distances.

No.

But I'm intrigued as to why one might use one?
For video focus pulling. My camcorder has focus pre-sets which I use quite a lot on horticultural work and rather than zooming-focusing-panning-zooming-focusing-framing etc measuring would save a lot of messing about so thought I would give a laser measure a try, nothing more than that really.

Laser measures are brilliant, useful or all sorts of things. V easy, v accurate. I had an entry-level Bosch for years and would no doubt be using it now if I hadn't spilled paint over it. I replaced it with a cheap Magnusson (B&Q own brand?) because that's all they had and to be fair it works very well too, but the Bosch was nicer to use.

If I was buying again, I'd get the newer entry-level Bosch Zamo. You can also get it in bundles with different attachments to measure various awkward shapes (y) https://www.amazon.co.uk/Bosch-0603...9Y2xpY2tSZWRpcmVjdCZkb05vdExvZ0NsaWNrPXRydWU=
