Try adding something to the basket and going to the check-out. Suddenly a shedload of import tax/duty appears!

Bunch of cowboys if you ask me.

I'm going to try hdew cameras, grey imports in the UK, 834 for the 7D with a 3 year warranty (so they say)

Are there any good value sites that are reliable and will give the true value before adding it to the basket?
 
^^ £845 with a 'warranty':clap: the tenner more than I mentioned is for UK delivery

SLRhut annoy me, every time I see the price I think, great..then I remember they charge tax and duty later...
 
just bought a canon 600D from them no complaints even after the duty was added on it was still cheapest i could find they also gave me a new battery and 3 year warrenty half price so again cant complain.
 
I remember that I read reviews about SLR Hut to have bad to none customer service. They also have an "address" in UK which is only a PostBox somewhere in Vauxhall London. If you want something "cheap" try DigitalRev, they send from HK and will take all Duty and Tax.
More importantly DigitalRev is well known by now and you can be asured that they do not cheat on you.

Ive used these guys and there is a large post in this forum.
Really good service from them,
My 7D arrived arrived in a the box from camera + lens version, but not a problem.

It had a US version charger, but they sent adaptor and the manual was a photocopy.

None of these were issues to me, considering the price.
 
My 7D from HDEW had the correct charger and original manual. Great supplier, decent price. £834.00
