Been subscribed to these guys for quite a while now as I think it's fascinating seeing some of this stuff shot at ~10,000 fps.
Today they posted quite a relevant video showing a DSLR shutter. Amazing stuff when you think about it.

Fascinating! One knows intellectually what happens but actually seeing it is quite a different matter.

Apologies if this is the wrong section, but found this on YouTube. It's slo-mo videos of the inside of an slr in action. I found it quite interesting

Nice demo of mirror bounce :)

Couldn't believe the camera was still functional after the battering it's taken ( although seems to have a lot of paint and food stuffs still on it )

Very nice find :)

The shutter action showing the slit should be compulsory viewing to help folk understand the way the shutter works.

As noted it shows what mirror bounce really is but what struck me as more interesting was the shock wave crossing g the shutter blades at the completion of their cycle.

Slo Mo is so revealing!

That a very interesting watch, never really thought much about the workings inside of the camera!

wish they'd done a follow up with something like a old Leica or one of the russian rangefinders - the ones with the Fabric Roll Shutters that travel from side to side of the frame...
