I wonder if anyone can shed some light on this. I suspect it's something simple but it escapes me
I've got a Dell Vostro desktop running Vista Ultimate with a built in wireless card. For the last year or so I have been getting download speeds of about 3000kbps which is about the max for my area.
Last weekend (for other reasons) I wiped and reinstalled Vista. Now I cannot get a wireless connection speed above about 700kbps. I've got 96% signal strength, I've put a laptop on my desk and via wireless that gets 3000kbps so I assume it must be a configuration issue on my desktop.
I've tried updating the Broadcom 802.11g driver but it says I'm on the latest version - other than that I'm stumped.
Any suggestions please?
