I ordered some filters from Bondscamera on ebay on the 20th January and they still haven't arrived yet. I emailed to let them know and they replied saying that mail from Hong Kong has been held up due to severe weather conditions in the air over Europe and the UK. Have I been missing something:thinking::shake::bang:

I've had stuff from HK via the Bay that took 7 weeks to arrive...

I've had that excuse used twice in the last few weeks, both times the items finally arrived but I think it is just an excuse. Trouble is when you question a Chinese seller they fall back on the bad English thing.

Bear in mind Chinese New Year (which is a 15 day affair) started at the beginning of this month and everything tends to grind to a stop.....

Delivery tends to be all over the place from china but then if your not in a rush the money you save can be worth it, with normal postage ive had it delivered anything from just over a week to 4 weeks.
Although i ordered a lens once late friday afternoon and i was delivered by ten oclock monday morning, i couldnt believe how quick it was.

Sister in law had a flight from paris to leeds and that got diverted to manchester.....

I ordered a flash from China on the 16th of December, and it arrived last Friday. The post mark and tracking website confirmed that they were dispatched on the 21st of December, so it was just a delay in the postal system.

One thing I do find with most of the Chinese companies I've ordered from is that, although their grasp of English is a little ropey, they are so unbelievably polite when it comes to resolving a problem. It almost makes me feel guilty for contacting them in the first place. :p I've never had a bad customer service experience with them, but maybe I'm just lucky.

Things from China on ebay used to arrive relatively quick - 10 days or less. Then last year there seemed to be a flood of sellers jumping over to free post. So we got our free post and then that's when the fast delivery died off.

I must have had five or six items since before Christmas. One said 3 weeks delivery. As it was during all the snow we had I was patient. But after 6 weeks I emailed them and they sent out another [it was an m43 adapter]. A week later the replacement arrived. Only it wasn't - it was the original, and the following week the real replacement also turned up. I offered to pay for the second one [it was only about £10 or so] with a view to ripping somebody off selling it on here. But they said hang on to it and when they get a UK customer could I post it to them.

Another item took 6 weeks and arrived a couple of hours after I had emailed them saying I hadn't received it.

I'm not sure if paying for post makes it any quicker either. Maybe we pay, but then they still post it the cheap and slow way too.

I am there with you always had polite communications...

delivery times can be all over the place though but I usually find that when I start getting worried a couple of days later stuff arrives...

Thank you for your replies everyone, but just an update. I still haven't received it but keep getting emails from them. Ist one offered to resend. Next one asked for my address. 7 days later asked me if just one item was missing. Today told them no I never received anything, when are they going to send it. I wait in anticipation.

After 10 emails my parcel arrived with a postage date of 7th February. Very interesting as they were supposed to have shipped on 20th January. It can't have been the reshipped item as this wasn't supposed to be sent until 17th February. However when it arrived it only contained 2 items instead of 3.

I contacted the seller who reshipped ??? missing item on 23rd February. So now 2 parcels missing. Seller insists that we are experiencing extreme bad weather over Europe again, when I said it wasn't he has now decided it was stolen, and would I like him to ship it again. I said only if it arrives before 45 days are up since the order, else I want a refund.
Do you think I am being unreasonable? :bang::bang:

Somehow I don't think I will order from them again.:suspect:

Never received my ND8 filter. Although the seller said that he had reshipped 3 times no parcel ever arrived. I took up dispute with PayPal who have reimbursed my money as the seller had no proof that he had ever sent it. I think I will order the next one from the UK. My experience with most Chinese sellers on ebay has been quite good, but I don't think that Bonds camera will be on my favourite sellers list.:suspect:
