Slimberts 52, Week 26, "Beginnings" (Page 15)

Yeah I like that Damien.

The lighting is the best part which I know is what the aim was.

Feel the camera angle could have been a tad lower down but thats only a minor point.

Cheers Dan! The lighting was all Dean, so all praise for that should go to him not me!

I genuinely wanted to get down lower for a better angle, but I hate sand :gag: so no way was I going to lay down!! :nono:

On a side note, my triggers arrived today!!

 Yep, Dean is definitely very talented with that lighting stuff - and very generous of him to share. You know that I'm expecting great things of you in the next 26 weeks now that you've had Dean's Masterclass.

I'm completely in awe of these outdoor strobist shots.
The lighting's superb, but I think you have to take some credit for the composition and subject matter.

Looking forward to seeing more of them.

p.s. I thought I'd seen that model before (also holding a golf club in a 52 thread not so far from here iirc!!!!)

Sarah - don't give Damien an ounce of credit......... Dean was lying on his back getting all sandy for the shots. like a true pro......... ...... Damien.. pah! well I might kneel but I'm not touching the sand.......... :(

:lol::lol::lol::lol:

Damien, Dean has done a wonderful job on the lighting :lol::lol:

But you know what... and despite the fact you wouldn't even get your knees sandy :D...

Nicely posed Lynton ;)...

Well done Damien  It's very nicely lit, well composed and works well.

Off camera strobism thingy really makes photographs jump out at you.

Excellent joint effort guys

Keep learning and you'll be catching up with Dean in no time.

This flash lark is a slippery slope though. I'm up to 3 guns, 3 stands, 2 shoot through brollys, 3 reflective brollys, various homemade snoots and grids, ball bungees, etc. I still can't take a decent shot though

Good luck with the wallet.

Andy
