I received this monster this afternoon and was completely blown away by the quality and sturdiness of this tpod. Top notch piece of kit and special thanks go to AJOPHOTOG and DINNERS, who took the bother to supply me with the exact height dimensions when I queried on this forum - thanks guys, you were instrumental in tipping the scales in favour of the Slik.

I have the same tripod, compared it to the Manfrotto's in the same price range and for me they seemed to be worlds apart.
Couple of years down the line and it's just as sturdy.
