SLIK Pro 340DX AMT + SH705 head.... Your thoughts?

As some of you will well know i've been looking for a travel tripod for a few weeks now...

I've came up with this one... It's a bit of a step up in stability I think from the velbon luxi I had... but at the same time quite compact...

I think for travel I'll get a ball head... but they all seem to retail with the SH705 head.

Has anyone any experiance of SLIK tripods? Good or bad???

I really hoped manfrotto would have done one... but they do nothing compact enough that can take the 4kg SWL I need for my EOS 5 + Lenses.

Has anyone got this tripod??? Your thoughts????

As I said on your other thread, I use the SLIK 700DX and I love it.

I've never tried the one you're looking at but if the build quality and sturdiness is as good as mine you'll have chosen well.

I had one a while back, cant remember the name or model of it and thought it was great for the cost, very good value for money

Any other views from people... seems not allot of you have alot to say about them... which is prob good as generally people are more likely to give negitive comments if they have had bad experiances...

I've looked and manfrotto allot... and the much talked about redsnapper... both just dont do anything as compact as im after...

Anyone any other thoughts???
