Looks more like a slight rain problem to me ...
Ha Ha it was, never seen so much rain fall in so short a time! It only lasted about 3-4 mins and I take my hat off to those riders, it must have been very hard to see through. I'm sure the camera was focussing on the rain and not the subject.
