Hi,

Can anyone recommend Slideshow software for MAC please? I've uploaded a couple of slideshows to Youtube and the quality is quite poor to be fair. I currently use iMovie and find the videos are a little pixelated.

I've looked at Fotomagico and Proshow Gold. I don't mind paying if the final product is good. My needs are quite simple: create a slideshow that can have music added to it. Some nice transitions to choose from. In fact, iMovie, but with non-pixelated output!

Hi Mark,

On the PC I used Proshow and was happy with the out put. I did try Fotomagico on he mac and that was also good but preferred Proshow. Not sure if you can run it on a mac unless you have boot camp or app soon the mac to run Windows apps.

Have you tried Picasa? I've used it on PC for years and it can do simple edits and cropping. It can make up a movie slideshow with music for uploading to Youtube.

Thanks both for the replies. Kev, I should have looked at the requirements a bit closer. I don't really want to go down the Windows on my Mac route so I guess that's sadly out of the window.

Derek, I (weirdly) never give Picassa a second thought. I'll check it out

I'm off work tomorrow so I'll give Picassa and photomagico a go. Thanks again.

LR6/CC has new slideshow features. 10 tracks of music and the ability to pan and scan and cut to the beat.
