Hello all!

Can anybody recommend or does anybody use a good quality service to transfer slides (mostly Kodachrome) to digital format? I don't own a scanner, and once the 50 or so of my best slides are transferred I would likely never use it again, so am loathe to buy one!

If nobody offers, there are places that will scan slides for you, did a quick google and one I looked at charged 37p per slide, so for 50 ish that would be less than £20.
 
You can buy slide scanners very cheaply and then sell it again. I did that, transferred 2000 images and then sold the scanner for more than I paid for it.
 
There are plenty of choices for scanning 35mm slides, the question is what quality/resolution do you want them at.
The higher the quality the more expensive the send out scanning costs are.
I'd buy a scanner to use and then sell it, then you can choose the maximum quality available from that particular scanner, you are also incharge of your own quality control.
