Hi could somebody help me out Im after a slide/neg scanner mostly 35mm film which would you buy?

Mostly 35mm? Will you be scanning other formats as well? 120?

It's hard to make any recommendations without knowing exactly what formats you plan to scan.

Also, it would probably be a good idea to ask to have this topic moved to the film section of the forum where I think you'd get more responses.

I think that the golden era of desktop 35mm film scanners is long gone, and you say 'mostly 35mm', anyway. The Nikon Coolscan range were hard to beat especially the ones that did a multi-pass scan, if you can source one and resolve the connectivity (some were scsi) and scan software compatibilty problems with current hardware and operating systems. For larger formats and affordability it's probably the flatbed route (Epson?).
 
Agree with above, a flatbed A4 scanner would probably be cheapest option, most of them come with holders to enable scanning 35mm negatives.

Well, you could also pick up a dedicated 35mm from Plustek for about the price of any of the flatbed scanners, if only 35mm capability is required. The quality of the scans from the Plustek definitely surpasses anything from the flatbeds and they are capable of multi-exposure.

Same with the Reflecta scanners, I believe the reflecta is a faster scanner too.

Yeah, I haven't personally used any of the scanners from the Reflecta range, but I believe that they are largely on par with the Plusteks.
