It's probably been over-exposed, which tends to cause Ektar to exaggerate reds and purples. I've found it produces an accurate colour balance if shot at box speed.
I would agree with this from experience. Anyone who has a reddish complexion, it seems to really bring it out. Pale skin is fine though and I actually really quite like the results is gives.
Thanks for the feedback on the pics, glad it's been of some use and that they seem to have been enjoyed too, always on the look out for tips and advice on how to do things better of course – of the films I took I have to say the Ektar was the one which surprised and pleased the most, at least with what I was taking pics of which was scenic/cityscape pics, there were another couple taken at sunset on Grouse Mountain that I was very impressed with, and the Provia too.
