as you know i had a child this morning at 5.30 having been up from 5.30 the morning before anyhow i had the dentist at 2.30 this afternoon for some root canal work.
well lying on that chair with the dark glasses they give you i was rocking off everynow and again the dentist would stop and ask if i was ok as i was nodding off has anyone else done this or something similier

 Not scary enough to keep you awake, eh

Congrats again on the new family member , badluck about having to visit the dentist though;)

I've woken up with a start after a bit of a snore when I had an aromatherapy massage once. I was really annoyed that I had missed the massage by falling asleep

I was dozing off the last time I went to the dentist a couple of weeks ago.! By the way never have gas, you either wake up with a boot print on your chest or your underpants on inside out!

Out in Turkey I go to the barbers for a Shave......Yes and I've fallen asleep while being shaved with the cut throat razor :)

Indian head Massage is the one, especially when they use one of those proper chairs that supports your knees, forehead, etc.
I think its quite common to fall asleep with this sort of thing but no less embarrassing when youre just helping out a mate with a demo ... infront of 100's of peeps! :embarrassed:

i know what you mean:lol: we went this year.and he also gave me a bit of a massage as well.well thats what he said it was

I fall asleep at work from time to time. My job sometimes entails laying on my back working overhead on press tools which make car panels. It's usually when I'm polishing up a peice of metal. I've got it off to a fine art where I can doze off and carry on what I'm doing. It's usually when my arms drop down that I wake up. This happened to me on nights once years ago, I awoke to find my foreman standing in front of me watching, it made me jump and I hastily carried on working. He walked off killing himself laughing.

I fell asleep in a Theatre Brief for Iraq yesterday down at HMS Nelson in Pompey. Proper 'Nodding-Dog' stuff...
Mostly because I'd had to get up at 5 and drive down there in the filthy pouring rain. It was pretty boring though...
My Colonel kept looking round every time I 'came-to' with a startled 'yuurgh!!!' and the RN officer giving the brief kept giving me a very 'old-fashioned' look...
ho-hum...

Congrats on getting root canal work on the same day as your other half having a baby. Was it so you could say, "having a nipper is nuthin, try having root canal work!" :D

Or did your wife book you in for it so you knew what real pain was like?

Hope mum and baby are well and congrats all round

i found that one hell of a traumatising experience. i like a good head massage but they have crazy vibrating machines and they put their grubby fingers with dirty nails in my ears as far as they could go and vibrated my head from the inside!

does falling asleep in clinics count, done that before!

I just settle for dozing off at work now and again. Saves doing it in your free time at home :D
