How easy is it to install Windows on a Mac? Want to install Windows on my Macbook Pro to try and play Skyrim as its <£4 from Steam for the next 20 hours. My PC is too ancient... Can I resize my OSX partition without loosing any data?
 
Andrew you should be able to partition your Mac HDD using the disk utility. I added a partition to mine with no issues

HOWEVER install boot camp and it will create the partition for you and you can then install the version of Windows you want. Not sure how much space you'll need for the Windows install plus Skyrim and user data but you can choose the size of the partition from memory.
 
Worked perfectly and easily. Now wasting far too much time on Skyrim!

I've not used Windows since I tried Vista and hated it - that was when I switched to a Mac/OSX. I must say I quite like the metro layout, but expect to the the lonely bloke in the corner in that respect. I'll just keep it for games.
