Yeah, took my lad yesterday morning and he loved it. I'm not a Bond fan but still enjoyed it.

What did you guys think of the sky fall lodge explosion in terms of effects ?

Pretty damn great, it was a stunning lodge in an amazing location, that's what I'd buy if my numbers came up.

Saw it yesterday, thought it was amazing! I'm a big Bond fan anyway but wow, what a movie.
Loved it.

If only you knew :)

I think if you search my threads, there was a bit about it on there !!!

I worked on the skyfall lodge set, most of it was made out of foam blocks, I worked on the bit where it gets blown up ! As for the location, it was on an army training area !

Some people spoil it. Suppose you are going to say that Scooby Doo isn't real next :bang::bang:

no need to go and watch it now then!!!!

Good practise on a couple of book forums to head it up with....

"SKYFALL - spoiler alert!"

Saying a building gets blown up is hardly a spoiler .. After all it is bond expect lots of things to get blown up.

...you also see it blowing up in the trailer!

Correct it is not. But I would bet if the thread carries on, more and more details come out when people discuss extra bits.

That. Is. All.

Once someone starts, its a rapid spiral....

We all know Bond is going to save the world, but give it a few more posts....it always starts like that ;)

You've ruined it now. Just totally ruined it! That's it - not off to watch it now...:lol:

Yeah true, good point.

I could ruin it a whole lot more but my lips are sealed :)

yes the TG special looks good. Really looking forward to that. I am lucky enough to live 5 miles from Hethel - Lotus built the underwater one, and a 5 min walk from my door to the Aston Martin dealership who has been heavily involved with Bond.. (he also has the local lotus dealership!)

In between blowing up buildings and making love to models, he likes to have the occasional BBQs . . .

Just back from the cinema.

Good film, just not the bond I love, the bond I grew up with.

I loves the 80s and 90s bonds, ott, big grand schemes, lots of minions, lots of toys and lots of explosions, with some cheek and cheese.

2 things I like to start a bond film off with....

A random start, generally ending the last mission or something which starts big

Naked women dancing.

Sadly missing. :-(

I'm off to watch the spy who loved me

Just home from seeing it and I'm slightly underwhelmed if I'm honest. I think it's more that the James Bond formula just isn't my thing than anything else though.

Some of the special effects whilst driving the motorbikes seemed a little dicey. It never actually looked as though they were on scene in the close-ups.

As I said, I could revel more but wont :)

I have a friend who assists on the set of Doctor Who amongst many other things so I can imagine very little of what appears to be real on screen actually is.

ha ha ha...

now how about license to thrill

Whilst I love Bond films (been recently rewatching them all on sky) I just dont like Daniel Craig as Bond. Yep everyone else says he is the best ever but for me he seems to have one facial expression which is to look constipated. I like the old innuendo and one liners.

Best. Bond. Ever.

I'm totally the opposite, I found every other Bond minus Daniel Craig cheesy and boring as hell with a slight exception to Sean Connery.

I had Casino Royal on DVD for over a year before I watched it because I thought he'd be like all previous Bonds, I was gutted I didn't get to see this at the cinema after I'd seen it.

saw it on a late viewing last night, thought it was pretty good.

wasnt sure about finding out the girls name at the end though, was a bit *FACEPALM* moment for me.

How to ruin an unexpected twist!

oh come on, that was as vauge as vauge itself..

But now people will expect a name reveal at the end? I suppose it does now say spoiler alert but hey.
