Hi Guys,

Which of these do you recommend?

I don't really understand Virgin, why is it different to Sky?

At the moment, I have a Sky + box which I have had for the last 11 months. I've been having a lot of problems with the box over the last 6 months, and the company who fitted my box will not cover it under warranty as I have moved house, and didn't pay them to send an authorised engineer to unplug the cables and plug it into my new house. Ridiculous.

Anyway, I am looking at canceling my Sky at the end of the month, and then either taking a new contract out or going with Virgin.

I also pay £12 to BT for my line, and £18 to BeThere for my broadband.

So perhaps I could include this into the package and have it all as one?

I pay Sky £21 for the basic package, as I generally only watch discovery.

What do you guys suggest?

Any good offers on at the moment, or good offers with Top Cash Back?

Craig.

Virgin TV, Phone & Broadband package would be a lot cheaper for you.

Actually, I think my phoneline is still in contract with BT, so I guess I would have to keep that.

Virgin is better than sky TBH its a tad cheaper and now we are coming into winter you wont get the signal dropouts when the heavy rain hits, my only niggle with them is, I have been a customer since Virgin took over NTL and its very easy to upgrade but damm near impossible to downgrade

Virgin far better - no weather problems; faster broadband; replay is light years ahead of the poor Sky offering....

depends if you can get fibre or not..

to be honest ive never had an issue with weather dropping my sky out, even over the last couple of days.. rumour has it ofcom are going to be forcing BT to unbundle fibre so hopefully sky should pick up fibre internet soon..

I've been with virgin for a couple of years now but am thinking of going back to sky the picture quailty is a bit poor. because i'm thinking of getting the sports and maybe the movies it seems to work out cheaper with sky.

Virgin replay.... all those lovely programs and not an advert in sight..... no more bliddy 'Go Compare' to drive me insane and have me scrambling for the remote to mute the TV.....

I love "go compare":p:D:lol:

Ive found Virgin useless, Mixed up dates for the first box messed up a year ago and the same story recently sending out a new V+ box.

Useless call centre staff, I even made a complaint regarding being told incorrect information regarding prices and contracts and was told someone will contact me in 7 days.. No contact from them, When i called to chase up complaint and see what was going on, the guy on the phone didnt even had a record of the complaint even though i had been given a complaint ref number.

Still waiting for them to contact me after being told they'll sort it out 1 week ago!

So as you can imagine, I aint recommending them to anyone!
