Last week a BBC Television News report told me that a school's headmaster had "walked free from court" after being "found guilty of false accounting"! Which? It couldn't be both. I had to listen to the whole bulletin.
It seems the 'journalist' got the job for his well-coiffeured hair and telegenic teeth rather than understanding the difference between acquittal and a suspended sentence.
