Hi guys,
I'm in the market for one studio head to basically use as a really big speedlight. I was looking at the AB kit, but the only light I really like there is the einstein and its too much for me right now. I have heard very good things about the elemental M series kit and right now its cheap as they're brining out a new system.
Long term plan is to buy an xplorer and a peli for it so portability isn't that much of an issue as I'm not working weddings just location stuff usually with an assistant.
When I need a studio I rent one so I don't want lots of lights just one that can kill the sun then the speedlights can do the rest.
I'm looking at 1000ws or 600ws
then a decent beauty dish and stand. Light is S fit so no issues when I want more toys or if I ever get a more involved system down the line.
What do people think of the power requirements is 1000 overkill or what you need to kill the sun. The lights only go down to 1/32 so the 600 will play nicer with sb's in low light.
