Single adults banned from falconry displays in case they're paedophiles...

His crimes had no links to the attractions.. so what.. they looked for someone local who had been done as a p*** to use as an excuse?

oh and this? "adults visit us armed with cameras"

From that link:

"If you cannot trust civic authority figures then, simply, who can you trust?"

Seemly we should trust no one according to that. My head just exploded!

Exactly! So by that reckoning (as we all know already), everyone is a potential P****...so...that includes people with kids, as we know...so... OK thats it, no-one is allowed in. Close the place down.

Glad I'm not the only one who failed to see the link between the ex-mayor's crimes and this Park. The thought processes to get from one to the other are well beyond me.

Dave

The thing is he would of been allowed in the park as he had children, so Puxton policy is paedophiles allowed provided they bring children.

"Shamed Philip Judd, 60, stored sickening images showing children as young as three being abused after deliberately seeking them out on a notorious sharing website.

A court heard that Judd was a married father-of-three with a lifetime of public service that covered his 'dark secret'."

so, using a similar level of extraordinarily odd thinking, I presume the park allows abuse of children to take place on it's premises, hence they are concerned about lone photographers?

Found this definition of Political Correctness

"Political correctness is a doctrine, fostered by a delusional, illogical minority and

promoted by mainstream media which holds forth the proposition that it is entirely possible

to pick up a piece of sh1t by the clean end."
I do like this definition

Seems to me that the "Customer Prevention" department at PUXTON PARK are doing a grand job, perhaps we and the general public can help by boycotting the place.

They have now put out an official statement

http://www.puxton.co.uk/Home-Page/Entrance-Policies

"Thank you everyone for your feedback regarding our entrance policy. Please find the latest statement issued to the media this morning. We listen to our customers and would welcome all feedback. This is a family attraction and would ask all comments are made in the appropriate polite manner.

Alistair Mead Managing Director of Puxton Park, said: "The main aspect not being reported is that Puxton Park is predominantly an attraction for children aged 0 years to 7 years with 90% of the park dedicated fully to child’s play, which is not suitable for lone adults.

“Some adults may be interested in our falconry department and we offer falconry experience days which are open to all. We have not set out to discriminate against single adults but we take child protection extremely seriously.

“We would rather be over zealous when unaccompanied adults visit us armed with cameras than put children at any potential risk. Even schools follow similar policies with regards to the photography of children.

“Our members fully support our decisions and we have received nothing but praise for our policy including positive feedback from a Child Protection Specialist, who commended us for our child protection principals.

"Within seven years we have only had one complaint about this policy from the gentlemen last week.

"At the time of setting the policy the other parks within the area had a similar stance to us. I have spoken to two or three similar client based parks this morning and they still have the same policy as we do. I’m not going to name names as it’s unprofessional of me to do so.

"In light of this coverage we will look at what other parks are doing with their admissions policy, speak to our customers and review."

I especially like the part about asking all comments to be made in a polite manor, haha

Oh take our last local case Father of 4 and pillar of society, churchman and ran a nursery with his wife, but he was abusing the children the who attend their nursery,i sure the park would of had the big red welcome mat out for him,if he had taken the children from the nursery out on a trip their

So schools dont let single adult members of the public wander round wiht a camera either... didnt know that :)[/QUOTE]

Does it really mean "just men" or does this mean "women" as well as all I can see this is a case of discrimination that comes to mind ?
Maybe someone forgot to mention that (altho alot smaller minority) women can be pedos as well.
Any single female TPers want to try gain access.

I expect single adults will not be allowed to collect school children after school now then.

nope, its women too, they are very clear about that, direct quote from their website, their upper case letters, not mine

We are sorry but we are unable to let single MEN OR WOMEN without children into the park. If you are here to meet someone let one of our reception staff know and they will happily do a tannoy announcement asking them to come and meet you.

That was just to be politically correct. :)

Sorry all of you wedding photographers, wedding venues are about to follow up on this policy. No single person with a camera please, as there are children present. Spend money hiring an assistant though and you're good to go.............

You can see just what direction this silly sort of thing will end up taking.

And what about the photographer the park hires to take the official photo's?

“Some adults may be interested in our falconry department and we offer falconry experience days which are open to all. We have not set out to discriminate against single adults but we take child protection extremely seriously.

Rather more expensive than a day pass, could be a money spinner for the park, free advertising at least.

“We would rather be over zealous when unaccompanied adults visit us armed with cameras than put children at any potential risk. Even schools follow similar policies with regards to the photography of children.

What about the smart phone don't they all have a camera fitted on them.

This is driven purely by greed and nothing to do with child protection.

School would only request you don't take photo's if there's a child on the at risk register or a fostered child who has been placed because of abuse, otherwise snap away at your child on sports day, they should tell you not to put then on social media.

Anyone should be allowed to go in and photograph the falcons, as long as they promise not to photograph the chicks.

It's not about cameras.

The statement from the park's owner says "We would rather be over zealous when unaccompanied adults visit us armed with cameras...", but by throwing that phrase in he's being disingenuous and trying to make his policy sound more reasonable. There is no mention of cameras in the entrance policy - it just says "we are unable to let single MEN OR WOMEN without children into the park".

Ironically there's no suggestion that the guy who was refused admission last week had a camera either.

I the real big sad thing about this is,going to places like this i doubt come cheap as a day out with your children,so some of the best protected children in the world are growing up to be scared of everything.
While children from more poorer country or poorer backgrounds we dont give a f*** about :(

Thats right,i think after reading what had been said they needed to come up with something that made them sound more reasonable, and of course we the photographer are easy targets

so single adults are banned but a paedophile with the child he (or she) is grooming is fine ... yep that makes perfect sense.

morons

btw i had no problem gaining access to world of country life near exmouth to photograph their falconry display http://www.worldofcountrylife.co.uk/ south of the border with zummerzet they have slightly more sense (its down to a better class of cider which doesnt rot the brain imo  )

He also said

" 90% of the park was "children's related play equipment unsuitable for sole adults".

You think thats ironic?
I'm a falconer, all my birds are never let out in public unless they are wearing leather,
none of them are yet in their teens either ;)
I often take pictures of them, tied down too
