Has anyone bourght items from simply electronics?
Im looking at a canon L lens on there at the moment, its price is £1559 for the 2.8 IS.
Thats £460 cheaper, surly im missing some thing here, is it a mk1 and not the mk2?

do a search on them - lots of not very good feedback. I wouldn't trust them with £1,500 of my hard earned

41 pages over at AV forums - first time i used them i ordered a filter without any issues, 2nd time i ordered a lens never turned up , same crap all the time from simply - ended up with a CC charge back. They ship grey imports so no warranty with manufacturer you have to send back to simply - i think someone on here had a 4 months wait for a canon Lens repair. Never again for me

PM Kerso on TP competivily priced and quick delivery

I was thinking of placing an order with them too. Think ill take it elsewhere now.

The small print in their T&C's, in capital letters, you will be subject to the laws of Hong Kong, website hides behind lo-call numbers and no evident address.

Wide berth methinks, definately drop Kerso a line

FWIW I bought a lens from them with no problems at all.

I would not touch them with a barge pole....Ordered two items from them 3 weeks later one turned up. After several days of complaining I then received the second item....Not so much as and apology or anything.....Dreadful service !!!! You have been warned

Hey guys,

Wish i had seen this earlier, i ordered the 17-40mm F4L from these people the guy said if i paid express delivery it would take 1-2 buisness days to ship. Its now 7 days later and havent heard a word.

When i placed the order it said 5 in stock, now it says 12 in stock. I rang them up an hour ago and asked him why it hasnt been shipped even though the site says they have 12 in stock, he told me that they have to source the items from elsewere and actually do not have current stock. I then had the issue of foreign staff, im not racist but i could not understand a word this poor woman was saying, the phone signal was also very poor - i was told since i rang past 5pm that i was on a different switchboard which made sense, but when i rang today it was exactly the same!

He said the item will ship today at 3pm, if it doesnt ill be cancelling my order.

Best thing is, they fast tracked my money the day i placed the order, just appears they dont want to ship items out.

Hi

I had intended purchasing a D700 through this company. Oh boy I am really glad I read this.

Many thanks Graham

My D700 came from there, no problems.

Of course not saying the bad stories aren't true, but people do like to spread bad news and keep god news quiet.
Kerso definitely worth a look though whatever the weather.

If you value the reassurance that factory warranty provides then I would look elsewhere. £460 is not an inconsiderable amount of money I know so have you perhaps considered pre-loved?

Just a thought.

What lens are you after anyway?

Good hunting

there is a fair bit of negative feedback re this company, and personally would not use, but i was with a mate a month back and he has ordered two lenses off them and had both within five days of ordering, but some how I know that would not be my luck :nono:

My friend bought something from there via Amazon Marketplace...

Never got the goods but fortunately Amazon foot the refund

I bought a camera off them once through Amazon. They gave a local Nottingham phone number and address. After hearing nothing from them for weeks I tried the number but could never get an answer. Went to the address which was a small bungalow. The guy there said that he was just a mailing address and he forwarded any mail ti Hong Kong.

Eventually got a refund from Amazon. I wouldn't deal with them if they were the only dealer left.

I nearly fell for them too but did a bit of homework beforehand. I checked out their trading premises on google maps and indeed it was a domestic dwelling.

I d imagine that amazon will have them struck off their site soon :D

I reported the whole incident to Amazon and they did take them off. This was about 18 month ago though.

9 days later, my item still hasnt been shipped. Rang them up last night and demanded to speak to a manager, they wouldnt put me though - so after a few emails i managed to get a response from a "so called manager" saying they will ship my item in 10 days due to stock shortages.

Yet the site says 8 units in stock....

I had a look at their site reviews on Google. Some of their reviews appear to be falsified / made up:nono:

Hope you get the matter sorted asap

It doesn't take 19 days to ship an item which is 'in stock'. If I were you I'd cancel the order and demand an immediate refund.

If the refund doesn't arrive, you should be covered by your credit card company under the Consumer Credit Act.

I ordered a Sigma lens and it arrived within 5 working days. I had email updates along the way, and when I rang their customer services for a delivery update they were friendly and helpful.

i bought 2 lenses in 1 order from them saved a bundle and came on time in a few days. didnt have a problem. mind you that was a few years ago now!

From some searching i have done about SE, i think i will now be giving them a miss.
Seems quiet few people have said a year or two ago they were the dogs danglies. Just recently they have gone to ****.

I orderd a point and shoot camera from them for my sister, and I ended up having to cancel my order and getting my money back, it took nearly 3 months to get my money back off them, although in fairness I did get every penny back eventually.

They advertise as having an item in stock wether or not it is, and take your money immidieatly
