simplify is the new buzz word

My sons college bus pass has been simplified from £312 to £432 because they simplified it by removing the option for a town pass at £312 simplifying it into a network pass for £432 so he (i) can pay extra for access to towns he'll never visit, it's simplified because if he accidentally gets on a bus to Northwich instead of to Warrington town and doesn't notice there are more trees and less houses than usual ( fairly likely) the simplification process means he'll have the right ticket

an unfortunate side effect of this simplification process is my bank account is £120 lighter.

Barclays have also simplified their overdraft facilities, if I wished to take advantage of this facility in the past there was a very complicated process which meant I gave them £3 at the end of the month, now they've simplified so if i use this facility I pay 75p a day

an unfortunate side effect of this simplification process is my bank account would be £20 lighter

but i'm grateful that I understand I'm getting shafted because they've made it so simple

Has anyone else had their life simplified

Ah yes, I see they have moved with the times, it used to be called "rationalised" or "rationalisation"
But either way we get rippedoffalised

I'm hoping to get my salary simplified :)

They'll simplify it by rounding your hourly rate down to the nearest pound

Go on benefits....your kids will get a free bus pass......plus you can have sky, a new cooker and 2 foreign holidays a year......not too forget the latest mobile phone and game station..... .tongue in cheek but true.....just ask my sister in law

The evidence clearly shows simplification results in a reduced bank balance, therefore the simplification of you salary will mean a reduction not an increase.

They'll also simplify your holidays to 4 days instead of 5 per week because even numbers are easier to add up

Whenever you hear any of these, you know someone is getting shafted and it's probably you.

Its comforting to know that the Big 6 energy suppliers are "simplifying" their tariffs isn't it?
