Hi all would really appreciate a bit of advice...

Anybody bought from simply electronics before?

They are cheap and i feel maybe too good to be true.

Avoid like the plague!

I've never dealt with them, but have heard bad things....

Just do a search for them....
 
Has the search facility broken?

Why do we get at least 1 thread per week asking about them?
 
I bought my SAL70400 lens from them and had no problems at all
 
I have bought three lenses from them. Reasonably fast delivery and all in good condition, but the price was best of all! I had a small problem with the last one, which I returned to them under warranty, and received it back within a fortnight. Not bad for service from Hong Kong :thumbs:
 
I think the main problem is they are Hong Kong based and therefor there is questions about warranty coverage.
 
Avoid..... the UK address (which they say wasnt them) now no longer exists so you have no rights as they are in Hong Kong so the statatuary rights thingy they have on their paperwork isnt valid. I too had bought lens from them in the past Its when its faulty seems to be the problems.
The UK returns address is Sprocket Express who only ship stuff back to them.
Ive learnt the hard way they have had my faulty lens for 60 days now and no sign of them having looked at it or doing anything about it. Ive sent numerous emails asking about it, just get emails back saying it takes approx 28 days. Im about to email consumer rights to see if they can advise me on how to take things further of getting my money back.

I have bought a E-PL1 camera from them in the past it arrived no problems yet 3 months later went faulty and i had to return it too them.
It went too a UK address and then forwarded onto there overseas address and they sent it onto Olympus...

Eventually about 8 weeks later it returned repaired it seemed like forever it was gone :| But tbh it was delivered ok initially and did get returned repaired tbf :shrug:

I was thinking exactly the same lol, I believe on occasion the same question has appeared further down the same page, so searching with their eyes also seems to be broken.....
