Simple question...I think...but cant find a simple answer...

OK...here we go...

I am about to be some domain names...prob from UK-Cheapest.co.uk...

If I buy multiples ie:

me.com
me.co.uk
me-photography.com
me-photography.co.uk

and at present I only want to have a single web site...ie:

me.com

with:

me.co.uk pointing to the same place...and:

me-photography.com
me-photography.co.uk

pointing to a sub-directory:

me.com/photography


Do I have to pay for web hosting for each of them or just the one that has the web site on it...me.com...???


As I am just starting out year one I would prob use this for my site...UK-cheapest.co.uk/hosting the Budget is £1.59/month...but dont want it to be x4...

One thing you might not be aware of is domain aliases which some hosts provide. They are very clever in that they duplicate a site.

So, lets say you have www.yourdomain.com and www.yourdomain.co.uk

If you have a page called 'contact.htm' on your .com domain, it will also work on the .co.uk

Pretty neat way of having two sites when really there's only one. Works for email too.
