Yes
Im not one for photo booths, never had one, never used one never actually seen one - other than in tescos

We're having a party at ours soon - All invited of course... ;) Would it be possible to get my camera on a tripod, use a 2.8m shutter release for people to fire of shots at their own will and then hook the Nikon up to a screen to a via some kind of HDMI lead so people can see them selfs - set the camera to auto, maybe wit the flash...

Am i missing anything?

The reason i ask - is i literally don't want to be in charge of the camera for once at a party ha ha ! - My friends are cool by the way so im sure it will be safe - so no worries there,

If im missing anything please let me know - seems too simple??

Lightroom, shoot tethered onto a laptop with the second display on the TV?

Or even via Nikon wifi transmitter WT4 or WT5 (dependent on camera) to laptop. Avoids the wires but a bit pricey if you cant beg or borrow one.

+ Wireless shutter release?
+ Lighting?
+ backdrop?
+ printer?

I think cable will be fine on this occasion - just for cost reasons

Back drop will be a white wall + props so all goo on that front

How would i shoot i to lightroom and to a display?

How about scattering a few disposable cameras about and digitising the results? Might get more interesting results than a bunch of same view shots against a white wall? Not instant view though.

Setup Lightroom to use a second monitor and you can have different displays.

Shoot tethered via USB, I use a laptop, images to flash and to the laptop hard drive, using the hdmi output to the TV as a second screen.

I did it once in the studio as an instant feedback but it got a little in the way as people looked at the screen rather than the camera.

Who says it has to be a white wall? Put a interesting background up, hang a picture frame on fishing line from the ceiling for people to pose with, or perhaps just to hold up and pose with. Think different rather than a passport photobooth idea

Our dining room is a large white box with the lots of space - with the white walls and colourful props i thought the images could look quite studio esc...
