Simple meals to cook for lunch? Please help me!

Have you got a bread maker?

I dont own a microwave, so the chances of me owning a bread maker are some what slim

I made a lasagne the other night which is good for a few days, so i am trying at least, hehe.

nice to see the effort. how bout shepherds/cottage pie? nice simple and all contained in one pot. mince, veg cooked in a pan then transfer to ovenproof bowl and mash layered on top, with a bit of grated cheese, oven cook for bout half hour on 5 or 6.

any meals your mom used to make that you enjoyed?

How to make Tumbleweed Special

chop up an onion and fry until soft (not caramalised)
add couple of chopped cloves of garlic (less or more to your own taste), fry for 2 mins
add tin of plum tomatoes, a drained tin of tuna and two bay leaves

simmer for 40 mins, remove the bay leaves and pour over pasta

Mmmmmmm, easy, healthy and spanking gorgeous:banana:

Hey, he said he could freeze stuff!

He could cook the pasta when he got home and get the sauce out of the freezer to heat.

It's a lot nicer than you would think. Not at all fishy, more meaty. Try it, you know you want to.

I can't make pasties but I can eat them:p

Are you stirring it?

I'm going to be anal. He needs more than one recipe - balanced diet and all that. Can't eat a pastie every day!

Token gesture - your recipe sounded nice and economical - lots of things you can do with eggs.

I make French toast sometimes, you get 2 or 3 eggs and mix them like you would for an omlette. But once mixed you soak a piece of bread In the mix on both sides of the bread and then fry It once soaked enough, not too soggy though.

Microwaves are so handy for defrosting stuff, part cooking. If you need to reheat rice or pasta the microwave is the only thing that gives good results.
They are dam good at making scrambled eggs.

You dont just need frozen ready meals to have and use one.

i own a microwave and tbh i hardly ever use it, scrambled egg is so easy to make in a pan and it tends to taste alot better

infact im now bloody hungry for scrambled eggs on toast now.

if you want to buy spices try julian graves they're cheap and they have a good range especially if you get them on one of there half price days. ive picked up spicejars, pestel and mortars and chopping boards for only a few quid on these days.

Steak Sandwich

1 big rump steak
Olive oil, salt, pepper and thyme
Ciabatta bread
Rocket salad
French Mustered

Put the steaks into a freezer bag, rub in olive oil then season with thyme, salt and pepper. Then flatten into thin steaks. No oil is needed in the pan, while the steaks are cooking cut open the ciabatta and put mustered on the top with some olive oil and rocket on the bottom. Once the steaks are cooked transfer to plate to rest. Once rested place on the steak onto the ciabatta and pour the juices from the plate onto the steak. Enjoy!!
