Hi all,

I'm planning on going to the Britcar 24hr race at Silverstone in a couple of weeks and was wondering where the best vantage point is for taking photos.

I've only been to Silverstone once before for the F1 and was stuck behind a wire fence.

Thanks in advance.

Colin

I'm at Cadwell Park this weekend. Rain is forecast...
Enduro racing next weekend possibly
Britcar weekend following
Enduro racing weekend after that
Then a weekend off

Im at Oulton this weekend
Sillystone next weekend
Oulotn weekend after that
Oulton again
And again

Season over :'(

mine is over next weekend i think after the BSB at Croft

may go to a rally locally but nothing much now :(

Back to the OP's question.

Nicked from another forum...
" Bridge, Copse, Club, Abbey, and the raised bit at the complex, just for starters. Plus the straight between Club and Abbey, Luffield head on through the fence, and the bank between Club and Stowe"

Thanks guys, much appreciated.

Silverstone wouldnt be Silverstone without wind and rain! :D :p

Absolutely, I once got sunburn and frostbite (a slight exaggeration) in the same day !

As you have 24 hours, walk the whole outside and then the inside too - lots of good places inside.

Does anyone know if you can get above the pits? I've seen a few public shooters who have managed to get shots of cars pitting at the Le Mans Series looking down at the cars, it's a cracking angle.

Not unless you have pit lane access, and track access.

You can't, except in the media centre or one of the hospitality areas if they are in the same place. (It's basically one long room with divides)
