Either try and get up in the stands and avoid the fencing that plagues every corner of silverstone or get close to the fence with a wide aperture and shortened shutter speed to try and avoid the fencing showing up in your pictures.
On the national circuit you can get really close to the action just after Maggots Corner on the inside of the circuit. Usually some overtaking action going on there.
Then further along Priory Straight is the bridge. You can sit on the grass banking leading up to it and get some head on shots as they come down the straight.
750 club are great. The marshals are friendly so long as you don't take the mick.
I always head for Luffied, its a slower part of the circuit and you can see over the fence if you stand half way back, normally when I do that, some 6ft + plonker stands in front of me!
