Silverstone F1 Friday??

Hi all.

Me and my mate are thinking about going to silverstone on the Friday of grand prix. Train of thought is be ideal to get some piccys.

Anyone been? Any thoughts? They offer "roving"as part of ticket not 100% of how much can see.

Well at least on Friday you can get into the Grandstands with a G.A. Ticket. So you'll be able to take shots without the fencing in your way. Otherwise it's fencing everywhere.
Grandstands at Village are quite close to the track. Head-on shots. Side-on shots, and going-away shots all posible from the same stands.

I went up to Silverstone for a testing day a few years ago and was lucky enough to be invited to the inside of the track, allowing access to the area close to the pit exit and close enough to the wire for it not to be a problem. IIRC, Silverstone Racing Club membership gets you that sort of access (but maybe not on GP weekends) with a guest.
