Silver Efex failing to launch

Downloaded Silver Efex Pro 2 onto my laptop for 15 days evaluation.
Seems to be no direct way of starting the software, have to go via Lightroom or Photoshop.
Windows Vista (I know... but this is just for evaluation)

In LR3, all that happens when I Edit In Silver Efex 2 is that I get a brief flurry of hard disk activity, a blip of CPU in task manager - and that's all!
LR3 created the TIF file, but Silver Efex refuses to open.

CS5 is a bit more helpful and points to 'CrashInfo.txt' in my AppData.

I think it is a plugin for LR/CS5 so can't open directly.....not sure though
 
Yes it is a Plug in, But version 2 is very memory hungry, so you will need lots of it and a fast processor.
 
Maybe worth downloading again as the installer may have got corrupted on the way down the wires, long shot but who knows

Already did that as part of the re-install :(

Blasted Mac culture....
There's probably some small print stating "We don't like Windows, we haven't fully tested this software on Windows, we only say it supports Windows because marketing told us we had to........."
 
And the muppet I am....
I'm in a B&B, and left my email-on-a-stick at home.
So will have to email Nik SW tomorrow evening.

Only good thing is that I doubt the 15 day trial has started.
The blasted SW hasn't got that far :)

I really want to like Silver Efex; but it's trying my patience at the moment.....
