Silly question:Postage of mail order

Hi everyone, I have got a silly question that would like to get some advise.

I would like to post 3 films for processing but due to work commitment that I am not able to go to the post office. How many 1st class stamps it requires to post 3 rolls of 35mm film? Thanks

I don't know the answer to your question but the last time I used both Peak Imaging and Transpacolor, they had Freepost addresses.

The Darkroom also has a freepost address. If you want to use a lab like Photo Express that doesn't have freepost, a 35mm film will cost you £2.60 second class or £3 first class!!! It's a size rule rather than weight.

Not quite, it's the size rule that screws up cheap film postage.

Large Letters measuring up to: Length: 35.3cm Width: 25cm Thickness up to and including: 2.5cm Weight limit: 750g

It's the 2.5cm thick bit that pushes it into parcel post.
