silly question of the day!!

Hi all
just a quick question i am thinking of getting a YongNuo YN-460-II flashgun for putting a gel colour on to a wall.

i am hoping to fire my metz flash cls using manual setting and the yn flash via its in built optical slave

do you think this setup will work

yarp, a grid in front od the gel on the yn will give a funky shape to the light aswell
