I've noticed this week, that signs of spring being just around the corner are everywhere.

A week or so ago we had just 1 male and 1 female blackbird occupying our garden, and defending it to the hilt. But today I counted 18 blackbirds all at once on the lawns  I also notice the dunnocks and robins seem to have paired up.

Have you seen any signs?

Roll on spring :woot:

Only at the weekend did I see Egyptian geese paired up, bulbs pushing up in the garden and robins doing that "I can sing louder/better/tune-fuller than anybody else"

Hmmm...signs of spring...3 degree mornings, frost on my car, hammering down with rain, blowing a hooly...nope, no spring yet! :D

Apart from the birds, there are new shoots coming through on a lot of the trees and bushes on the trails. Just waiting for some nice cold weather and frost to come along and kill them off

Lidl are selling daffodils...

Supermarkets are getting easter egges on display.

Seen the tips of green leaves coming through the soil - daffodils????

Saw a V of geese.

These critters could be as confused by the weather as we are or do they know something we don't?

We've got lots of flowers starting to push their way through. And all the birds are singing loudly and chasing each other round.

Saw a Roebuck with full horns in velvet.

Time to pop down to Woolworths and get some Christmas decorations.

Noticed today that suddenly its not the robin versus the 3 species of tits in the garden fighting over feeder territory, but blues chasing blues, coals chasing coals, etc and the robin is doing his very best singing from every perch....this has literally changed since monday
