Significant snow event.....

Been snowing on and off most of the day in South Yorkshire. Theres still a dusting now which will have no doubt totally frozen over and be a nightmare to walk on in the morning

Hope it snows heavily in the night to cover it up. I at least want a soft landing

we are at 2 to 3 inches or so now, all very pretty, but will be hell come rush hour tomorrow morning :bonk:

About the same here Yvonne but it looks as though its actually quit for now

Snow is good.............

apologies for the blown bits, used long shutter speed forgetting security light was on too :bonk:

Just got up,
three inches here, just getting ready for the morning commute, however according to the radio it's already chaos out there. Notably, we've had the gritters bombing around all week........ Except for last night Duh!!!!

Just got into work to pick up my truck for a two day trip up north. About 8 inches or more (of snow) down here. Decided to stay in the yard!

To risky to try to get home at the moment.

At least I have my new Iphone to keep me company.

Im up and it looks like a good fall of snow from overnight. Listening to the local radio station on my phone to see if my schools closed too :D

Yea, just looking outside and there looks to be an inch or two in Cambridge.

We've had at least 3-inches in north London overnight :woot:

I don't expect I'll be cycling in to work today :(

Well, according to TFL, all London buses have been withdrawn from service. It snows and the city shuts down. What's new?

Here in Balsall Common, just south east of Birmingham, we just have a dusting at the moment. :whistling:Temp is -2 degrees.

Looks to be about 2 inches here in Wolves, hope thats all we get too!

:schtum:

a sprinkling her but more on the way apparently

Well I just measured on the wall again and from 2 inches late last night, its now 4.5 inches and still snowing heavily here in Nth London. The school is closed [someone is happy] and no buses are running. Picture to follow when I have finished warming coffee :D

Been out in the snow to take pictures for about an hour or so. About 5-6 inches of the white stuff.

Just have to look in the right places ;)

I'm so excited!

Just wrapped up warm and going to try walking in the road to get some piccies. Half of our journey to work is closed and the snow is up to the rear number plate on the car. Hubby (my boss!) can connect from home so he can work and I can get a few files off the network if I want to.

Stick some sweeties, my phone and keys in my pocket and have a wander. If I come up with something decent, I'll post them!

Checking the forecast it looks like we're going to have a dusting for the next couple of hours, but then another front is going to move in later on in the day with more very heavy snowfalls, even in the West Midlands which is a major surprise - we never get any snow!

Thankfully, I have the day off... which means I can get out and shoot :D

About 7-8 inches here and the outside thermometer is showing -4. The kids are happy because school is closed so I'll kick them out later to go sledging.

My back garden 20 minutes ago and the snow is still falling. Seemingly it is the worst snowfall in London for 20 years.

My mum had a woodpecker on her bird station this morning. Never seen a woodpecker at all let alone in Brighton!

We only got half the snow that everyone else got.

Well, this is what I took when I went out earlier.

These guys just couldn't get a decent move despite one pushing the other one, apparently it's the wrong kind of snow! They soon left to find a steeper hill!
